Samir Sadikhov is an automotive designer who is absolutely fascinated by the power and elegance of cars. As such, he came up with a sleek concept car, which he dubbed the Ferrari Xezri, and which garnered him the second prize in the Ferrari World Design competition. By just looking at the pictures, an uneducated eye would have no clue that this isn’t actually an existing Ferrari model. The lines of the exterior bodywork and overall look and feel of the dashboard are entirely representative of the luxurious style that the legendary Italian carmaker has gotten us used to thus far.

Sadikhov’s motivation for the project speaks about the utmost level of technology, as well as about innovation and tradition. In piecing the project together, the designer attempted to create a car that honors its roots and past, while being firmly rooted in the present and anticipatively looking into the future. Says the designer, “Lightweight, simple and striking with a distinctive engine and special futuristic design: every last detail of the Ferrari Xezri exudes uncompromising sportiness, as a direct result of its links to the concept: Xezri.” According to Sadikhov, Xezri was designed for an owner whom values uncompromising on-road performance as their main priority, while also bearing in mind occasional track day capability. The car’s prototypical owner would still demand a car that is usable in day-to-day driving, much like all other models produced by Ferrari.
