Reflection-Decked Flat Gets Perspective Redo

The creative team of Belarus-based Design-Bureau Redo Studio was very much in the zone when reshaping this bachelor pad into a sweet and sleek combo where hall-of-mirrors meets mod con Zen. The two-bedroom flat started out as a small space in dire need of “progressive decisions,” as Redo puts it. In effect, they repurposed everything that could stand a change for the better: a corridor as a bathroom, an old stockroom as a study etc. Apart from these, there were other interior design calls to be made in the main living space, which, as a result, now features a glass partition and a dark glossy ceiling – both in place to blow up the available legroom through perspective-enhancing reflections.

Swoon-worthy light cubes were asymmetrically applied by the Redo shot-callers on a white wall in the drawing room, their smooth black finish gelling well with the dark-colored velvety sofa. Indeed, the design came off nicely as a tasteful blend of white, black and steel-grey, epitomizing the ritzy yet low-key sheen that’s so in vogue with today’s young and hip urban dwellers. Complete with a plasma screen and the attendant bar stools facing it, the owner can turn on the party mood at a moment’s notice – the flat’s all about optimizing and opening up every corner, as well as effectively putting to good use every stylish, decorative element.
